Woah, it's been some time

So I haven't done this in forever. Kind of fell off the face of the poker world for some time, then when I tried to get back on the train, it seemed like I forgot how to play. Been struggling with play on FTP this year, rakeback keeps me in the game, and somehow makes me think I have an edge there.

I'm down $800 playing 6max on FTP, up $300 at full ring. Then over at pokerstars, I'm winning decently at full ring, but 6max I decimate. Several BB/100 through 50nl. Makes no sense to me.

Anyway, long story short, yesterday I hit the Sun again, which I've been doing a lot lately. Difference was this time I was sick of playing stupid limit freakin hold'em, putting in a 12 hour session, and netting $20. Talk about a waste.

Decided I was going to hit NL with no regard for BRM, since I figured my edge is gonna be huge, I'd play slightly less than the most +EV style, and try to minimize my variance. Only an orbit or two in, I got to splash in my first sizable pot.

Ended the day up $430, only played 3 hours though. I got real tilted at the end by having a flush draw suck out against my top two pair and drag a monster pot, slightly over $900 when all the chips stopped flying.

Shortstacking

Ok, so here are the hands that I got stacks in with last session.

#1) Felt like this was a classic case of hating short stackers. Villain posts blind in the CO, and checks his option. Then decides to 3bet oop. Doesn't make sense and I put a lot of KQ/QJ type hands in his range.

#2) This has been pretty common for me lately. Hands like 88/99 I've been 3bet jamming for value mainly, feeling that villain's range is more heavily weighted toward big cards, but that if they're opening with a small pp they'll likely think they're ahead and I'll get the money in as 80% instead of 55%.

Has it really been this long?

Can't believe I've abandoned this thing since last October :(. I've sadly done nothing to further my game or my bankroll. In fact I think it shrunk.

Across FTP and Stars, I have around $1,000. $400 on FTP and $600 on Stars. I haven't been playing enough to stay on top of my game, and I'm working on that now.

Time to hit the tables.......
